A time for reflection, giving, and gratitude

The final week before Christmas: A time for reflection, giving, and gratitude

Heeeeeey It's Terri, owner of 173 Mercantile in Kennebunk, Maine. It's hard to believe that it's already the final week before Christmas! This is a time of year when we're all busy shopping, cooking, and decorating. But it's also a time when we should take some time to reflect, get ready to give, and be thankful for all the blessings in our lives.

The final week before Christmas is a great time to reflect on the past year. Think about all the things that you're grateful for. Think about the challenges that you've faced and how you've overcome them. Think about the people who have helped you along the way.

Christmas is a time for giving. It's a time to show our loved ones how much we care. If you haven't already done so, start thinking about what gifts you want to give to your family and friends. Consider giving gifts that are meaningful and thoughtful.

No matter what your circumstances may be, there is always something to be thankful for. Take some time this week to reflect on all the blessings in your life. This could be anything from your health and well-being to your loved ones to your home and community.

I hope that you have a wonderful holiday season. Remember to take some time to reflect, get ready to give, and be thankful for all the blessings in your life.

Here are a few specific things that you can do this week to reflect, get ready to give, and be thankful:

  • Write a gratitude journal. Each day, write down three things that you're grateful for. This could be anything from a warm cup of coffee in the morning to a phone call from a friend.
  • Volunteer your time. There are many organizations that could use your help during the holiday season. Volunteer your time to a soup kitchen, homeless shelter, or animal shelter.
  • Donate to a charity. If you're able to, donate to a charity that is important to you. This could be a local charity or a national charity.
  • Spend time with loved ones. The holidays are a time for family and friends. Make sure to spend time with the people who are important to you.
  • Enjoy the season! The holiday season is a special time of year. Take some time to enjoy the decorations, the music, and the food.

Merry Christmas!
