Get Moving and Feel Good: Primal movement
I have been hearing a lot about Primal movement, and I am here for it!
Primal movement is a type of exercise that focuses on natural, functional movements- think squatting, lunging, crawling, climbing, and swinging.
Basically, it is based on the idea that our bodies are designed for these types of movements, and that they are more effective for our health and well-being than traditional exercises like running on a treadmill or lifting weights.
If you are new to primal movement, it is important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity and duration of your workouts as you get stronger.
Here are some of the benefits of primal movement:
-
Improved strength: Primal movement exercises can help to build strength in all of the major muscle groups.
-
Improved flexibility: Primal movement exercises can help to improve flexibility by stretching the muscles and joints.
-
Improved coordination: Primal movement exercises can help to improve coordination by requiring you to use multiple muscle groups at the same time.
-
Reduced risk of injury: Primal movement exercises can help to reduce your risk of injury by strengthening your muscles and joints.
-
Improved mental health: Primal movement can help to improve your mental health by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
